Afghan migrants in homeless camps

Certain countries around the world are known for being severely punished by massive disasters such as invasion by another nation, civil war, natural disasters and so on. In some countries, the level of damages equal to beyond repair. Others are the victims of ignorance by a self-destructive government. However, people are consciously aware of that particular country's or nations gloomy situation and a dark future, accordingly they took the matter in their hands by joining catalyst groups that could provide them with temporal financial stability, or in many other cases, fleeing the country in search of a better life.

Afghanistan is one of these countries that in some terms completely match the above criteria. The country has been through many different invasions that carried millions of casualties on the Afghan side. It is also the victim of a severely corrupt and infamous government. The government is heavily involved in struggling its way in to the people that have no time to provide a stable educational or financial future for the very young Afghans. Consequentially, Afghans are either joining the insurgency which is heavily financed by neighboring countries, or revenue generated by the sale of narcotics in international markets.

I will discuss the migration side of this subject. Mostly in the European media, almost every day's headlines carries a banner indicating that Europe is under migration attack. There is a very good chance that these "attacking migrants" are Afghans. In some pictures, one could see the very young faces of these Afghans, hungry, worried, confused, lost, feared and have no desire to harm anyone. In fact, an Afghan boy who would have reached the Greek Islands must have suffered severe set-backs including heavily beaten up by Iranian or Brutal Turkish border guards. Turkey is a country where Islam follows a modern path; where democracy is leveled up to secularism, and has a beautiful image amongst other civilized nations. Well, in case of human rights, the country is not less than a fascist regime. Brutality by police or border patrol is not less than Nazi Germany era, capturing a Jewish prisoner feeling for his/her life. Turkish Border police are allowed to shoot on the spot. Basically this “shoot on the spot” is aimed at Turkish Kurd insurgency, but since they have less chance to spot a kurdish insurgent, there are thousands of Afghans crossing the same path from Iran to Turkey. Thousands of Afghans died on the border. Others were deported back to the Iranian border with having heavily injured. Who mostly did not make it to a closest city of Iran, leave Afghanistan alone. This was just an example of such ordeal an Afghan young migrant would go through. There are many other countries that have committed severe crimes against Afghan migrants when it comes to basic human rights.

Pakistan, Iran, Bulgaria, Greece, France, Australia, Hungary, Check republic, Slovakia, Poland, Ukraine, Russia, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and many others. Each one of these countries must review their action and oversee what they have done to Afghan migrants. In fact, many of these are studying and began to review each of above cases, for example Australia. Since 2001, Australia has deported many illegal Afghan migrants to Afghanistan. However, a report by a prominent human rights organization indicated that most of these deportees were killed. Now no matter what will the outcome be, on the Afghan side, a family is left without a valuable member who would have been providing a financial or other support for the family.

Thousands of other Afghan migrants are still in above countries prisons, mostly in Turkey awaiting their deportation. What they have done to these countries, apart from being subject to terrorist suspicion. Let's not forget that crossing an international border without proper documentation is a crime against that nation and should be punished by International laws.

In my opinion, mistakes are occurring on day-to-day basis when it comes to this migration subject. I am sure the above nations do have a respectable law and order to impose whatever is necessary in their part and terms. If a member of their armed forces, or border patrol is involved in such crimes against humanity, they do have international obligation to do their necessary part of being respectable member of this world society.

However, I will be completely dishonest if I say Afghans are not part of such enormous crime either. In fact, Afghanistan holds a major burden of responsibility to prevent further exacerbation of the problem. Beginning with each family of these young children running away and walking stray in other countries streets; each family is completely responsible for preventing their children of leaving their education, futuristic ambitions, and country at most. Afghanistan may be under geopolitical and corruption scrutiny, but international community is on the ground to help reducing the problems to its minimum. The international community is in Afghanistan to work for the future of these young kids. The present Afghan political structure will be expired sooner than later. These young kids are the future political society of Afghanistan. This must be taught to these young kids.

European countries are beautiful, developed, and civilized because they have worked for it. They have been through situation which Afghan kids are now. But they managed to come over these harsh times and they have built their countries. It does not mean that they will allow everyone into their country unless legitimate evidence of persecution is furnished. They do have a law, a country, and national values, an Afghan or no one can step on their laws and values to seek better future for them.

Eventually, looking into the videos and pictures of all these migrants hiding in the self-made jungles in Europe, one could feel the severity of such condition. However, this is an international problem. Afghanistan, should immediately contact other nations to find a comprehensive solution to the problem. Thousands of innocent lives are being lost, or in danger. This needs an urgent review and should be dealt with urgency. Afghan families should do their part of the responsibility. Afghan families should encourage their children of becoming ambitious and educated citizens of Afghanistan whom the future holds bright and brilliant opportunities for them. By becoming illegal migrants, they will remain uneducated, underdeveloped, and will be deported back to Afghanistan.
