My title may carry a lot of ambiguous questions in different religious and non-religious circles of people around the world. For some reasons, religion is known a source of intolerance, violence, suppression, enforcement of people to the extreme and many more misassumptions to count. As a matter of fact, negative assumptions are untrue for the most part of any religion. Religions are a way of life, which are designed to improve and save human lives through elite social doctrines. In my case, I will explain what I know about Islam, the religion I am born with.
If we look into the world history, most of the atrocities occurred, are the hallmarks of those individuals who were distant from their initial religions. If Adolf Hitler and other tyrants would have a little knowledge or respect to the religion of their community, that they abandoned, the Holocaust would have never been occurred. Same is true about modern day Sadam of Iraq. He murdered and tortured thousands of Iraqi She,a Muslims and Kurds of non-arab ethnicity for no other reasons but his self power-madness.
My above claim also come true about the modern day terrorism, Islam is a faith of fair, and share living with other through peace, harmony, and friendship. This is not only my claim, but it is written in many major Islamic books throughout the history of Islam. Islam does not condone violence in its any form. Islam is a way of life, not a way of dead, or suicide. Even further, Islam does not allow its followers to perform a proper funeral for those who commit suicide. Islam does not condone those who commit, or intent to commit acts that would cause harm to other human beings. Overall, Islam is a name of peaceful religion, those acting against this, must rethink about the correctness of their particular religion.
Prominent scholars who strive to be the elite of Muslims must come forward and disband condemn and criticize extremism, fanaticism, radicalism, and intention to murder others. They must do so, in the light of the Holly book of Quran, and they way Prophet Mohammed would have done it. During the time when he was alive, markets and businesses were shared with people of other faiths and ethnicities. Moreover, ladies were serving as business women and shopkeepers. Everyone was encouraged to live in peace and harmony with others. And Co-existence was the social doctrine of the time.
Questionably, I myself have no idea where and how did this new type of so called “fundamentalist Islam” infiltrated the modern societies of Muslims, who lived for decades in a heaven of peace and stability with others. I think of one, if not all the clues is, that Islam is combined with too much politics. This obliges us to go back to the history, and see that any religion involved too much with politics, brought and caused disasters and social calamities in that time. Therefore, distinction of state and religion should be taught to ordinary Muslims, and they should be alerted to the fact that radicalism, extremism, and fanaticism is not the way of a good faithful believer.
